Snow Day 2007

Alan, Raja and I (and the rest of Oregon) woke up on January 16th to find our world covered in snow. Matt Zafino had no clue. I love snow days! My favorite site was our front tree covered in ice.

Inspired Art

I am in LOVE with my 2 new paintings - by Sean Jacobs - I just purchased this weekend. I have yet to pick up the second, but they soon will adorn our staircase to brighten up our home and entryway. I've searched for months for the right pictures for Alan and I and immediately knew these were the ones for us when I saw them. I love the "polka-dot" theme and bright green and blue colors. They make me feel light and bubbly. I might put a chair by the front door, so I can sit and admire them.

Joyeux Noël! Holiday Wreath 2006

This Christmas my Mom and I took a wreath decorating class from a local florist, Francoise Weeks. Francoise is a little European lady who designs beautiful flowers for weddings. Joyeux Noël! We used orchids, seed pods, nuts and various fruit to decorate our live wreaths. My favorites were the mini-apples. More than 1 month later, my wreath is still going strong. I did have to remove the orchids after our Jan. 16th snow storm, though. You'll notice they are pitch black and make my wreath look more appropriate for a funeral than our front door.
